The photos above look like a 250 Desmo but the bike is actually a 250 Mark III wearing Desmo bodywork. Whereas the photos of the scrap below are a 250 Desmo basket-case. The plan is simple. Rebuild the 250 desmo using the look-alike's bodywork and then rebuild the Mark III using the correct Mark III parts. Well the word simple is probably a misnomer here! But it should be possible.
